Canoe River Trail
A canoeing experience that starts at the bottom of a 80M high cliff and continues along the Kap river.
This trial offers unique viewing for birders, nature lovers and photographers.
With dense riparian forest bordering the trail, making a picture perfect setting.
A total of 160 different species have been identified by local experts including Lanner Falcons breeding on the cliff.
Beach and River Horse Rides
The beach horse ride offers a combination of beautiful beach, picturesque rocky outcrops and dunes.
The river horse ride explores the Kariega river and presents you with a combination of stunning scenery, exceptional bird life and river riding.
Both river and beach trail caters for beginner and more experienced rider for ultimate horseback wildlife experience.
Double Drift Reserve
Double Drift is spread with pristine valley bushveld, and hosts abundant wildlife as well as the convergence of the Great Fish River and the Kat River.
This reserve is one of the few places in the Eastern Cape where you will be able to see and capture the Black Rhino on camera.
Alongside this this area was on the front line of many Frontier wars. These war forts are still standing for you to explore.
Beach Day
Kariega Main beach is located in the holiday village of Kenton-On-Sea.
Situated between two spectacular tidal rivers, the Kariega and the Bushmans, Kenton-on-Sea offers a picture perfect village setting.
Kenton is on the warm Indian Ocean , where the two rivers open up to a sea front of unspoilt beaches with undulating dune fields as well as interesting rock formations.
Kelly’s beach has won various awards over the years and is recognised by international standards in the village of Port Alfred.
The 400m-long beach offers ample space for various beach activities. Sun-seekers can gaze out into the horizon and maybe even spot whales and dolphins frolicking in the ocean.
Surfing is a popular activity at Kelly’s Beach, with beach breaks that offer both right- and left-hand waves.
The south-east coastline of South Africa is characterised by its largely unspoilt sand dunes and sections of vegetation. These two beaches fit the mould splendidly.
Addo Adrenalin
Addo Adrenalin is close by the Addo Elephant Park. Situated in the heart of the Sundays River Valley as an outdoor adventure park.
If you are looking for some heart pumping action on a zip line, or some stomach-losing madness on a giant swing. This is the activity for you!
Please note a reasonable level of fitness is required due to the zipline requiring a 480 metre hike to the departure platform.
Addo Elephant Park
A habitat for over 600 elephants as well as lion, buffalo, rhino, leopard and spotted hyena.
Addo is the third largest national park in South Africa, stretching from the Karoo area in the north over the Zuurberg mountains and south down the coast. This park is also known for its birdlife.
Predator Tour
A project that offers a unique educational predator tour with trained guides.
On the tour you will have the opportunity to meet and learn more about meerkats, Cheetahs, Servals, Caracals, Leopards, Lions and Hyenas.
Whale Watching Excursion
A boat cruise which spans across the bay taking you out to different islands.
You can experience close encounters with marine wildlife, including pods of dolphins, Cape Fur Seal, Whale species and the home to the largest breeding colony of African penguins in Africa!
Cultural Tour
The small town of Grahamstown is a vibrant mix of culture and history that once acted as the frontier between the British Cape Colony and Xhosa territories.
It is sometimes still referred to as ‘frontier country’ or ‘City of Saints’ due to the large number of churches and magnificent Victorian buildings that grace its streets
A tour of this village and its attractions is always a favorite of our guests.
Bushman Painting Hike
A scenic and remote hike into the gorge where you will find ancient San rock art hidden in caves. The curious Bushman rock art portrays daily life, hunting, rituals, spiritual beliefs and wildlife.
These paintings are found only in places protected by the elements, thus making it a hike down into the gorge which takes around 1-2 hours, for those who are advanced hikers the hike can continue to the top of the gorge.
