This experience for me was everything I could have ever dreamed of, working with wildlife in South Africa🇿🇦🥹 Beckie and Joe have years of experience in veterinary and wildlife management which shows, their knowledge is extraordinary!! 💡 I learnt so much in 2 weeks, and every person gets incredibly hands on, taking home many new skills💉The programmes organisation is impeccable and Beckie and Joe are so accommodating. I struggle with a few food intolerances but it was not a problem to them& every meal I had was absolutely delicious! 🍴The wildlife work with African Legends is genuine, for conservation and/or medical emergencies. Being a part of placing an elephant tracking collar which the programme funded, was breathtaking 🐘 I can’t wait to return ❤️

UK July 2024

I cannot put into words how incredible this program is. I was so fortunate to be apart of the July 2024 group and I had the most amazing time. Both Beckie and Joe are so knowledgeable and are more than happy to share, they are super friendly and all round great hosts. The accommodation and food were perfect even supplying hot water bottles and heated blankets for the cold winter evenings. The trip was very well organised and I felt safe the entire time. It’s such a hands on experience which is what I was looking for. I learnt so much which also transfers to UK nursing which is perfect and for UK RVNs provides 15 hours of CPD🙌🏼 I’m so thankful I was able to live my wild at heart moment with such incredible people. It won’t be the last time I go to SA and i may even come back for round 2 on the programme 🇿🇦

I was lucky enough to be part of this program last month, and I highly recommend it. Beckie and Jo are
very knowledgeable in their field, and you will learn a lot from them. During your stay, you will get hands-on experience on various wildlife species, learn different techniques to locate, approach, capture and relocate them and will learn more about products and medication that are used for all sorts of wildlife. Also, students’ safety is taken very seriously, and I felt safe at all times, even around more dangerous animals. The living accomodations and meals are wonderful, and you will be treated as a king! Overall a fantastic experience, and I would recommend it to anyone interested in wildlife
medicine and conservation.
